My father (age 45) was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer February  16, 2018. He is a father of 5, is the hardest working man I know. Ed's kids range from ages 7 to 22, our father has coached us in soccer and basketball along with keeping a full time job.

The 2008 recession really hit our family hard. My dad was the only one working and before the recession hit we moved to Elk Grove, CA for a new job opportunity. The business, Orco Construction Supply, shortly went under after we moved, my dad was laid off and since has been jumping from job to job trying to make an honest living while being extensively involved with his family.

My father was laid off 2/9/18 and unfortunately my mother nor I make enough to cover all current and future medical expenses. We have been paying out of pocket for labs, CT scans and check ups and these expenses are starting to get out of hand.  At the end of March my father will have surgery to remove two tumors and after will be taking radioactive pills to repel any cancerous cells.

We don't really know much about Thyroid Cancer or the procedures and any advice or testimonies about the process would be appreciated. Any and all donations will greatly help. We are in a really tough position right now financially and emotionally. My father taught us that family comes first and this is all for him. Please help this friend, coach, brother and father at this time when he needs it the most.
