Help Dominica with Hurricane Relief

Donation protected

Update: A huge thank you to everyone who donated to us. Thanks to you we were able to buy much needed food, health and hardware supplies to help Dominica in their recovery. At the moment we are no longer accepting donations on this page as we have met our goal for funding. As we continue our efforts, we want to thank you for believing in us and the people of Dominica.

Thank you!

On Monday, September 18th, Hurricane Maria made landfall on the island of Dominica. Home to 70,000 residents, the island was "devastated" merely a week after beeing hit by another Hurricane, Hurricane Irma.
Nations are begining to take notice of this small island and have made pledges to help, but more direct help is needed.

On Monday, Septemebr 25thwe were able to offer that help. Thanks to private donors,  we were able to pack a G4 plane with donated water, food and emergency supplies which made landfall in Dominica on Monday, Sept. 25th @ 3:00pm. This was one of the first recovery efforts for the island.
We know there are many pleas for help in the aftermath of so many natural disasters and we appreciate the fabulous work that is being done, but we are asking for your support for this island that has gotten overlooked till now.
Our plan is to continue the donations and supplies being sent from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Dominica. Your funds will go towards the buying of supplies which will then be shipped via a donated aircraft. As of today (Sunday, October 1st) we have been able to send three airplanes loads, in a week, filled to capacity with supplies and donations.  With each day the need to changing and evovling. Please read out daily updates to see where we are with our mission.

We are also accepting donations of dry food, water, tarps, hygiene kits, baby supplies, diapers (adult, child) water purification kids, cots, tents, flashlights and batteries if you are located in the South Florida area and would prefer to donate through goods.

Details on Donated Funds:
For those whom are donating to this page, this page has been set up by April Brown, daughter of Jonathan Brown who has been organizing relief efforts along with Macknight Food Group in South Florida and Rescue Global in Dominica.  April set this page up to allow for community and indiviudal support of the cause. The funds being donated here will be withdrawn by April Brown.  Jonathan and April will be in charge or seeing how the funds will be used to buy supplies that will be loaded on the donated private jets that we have been using to get the supplies to Dominica. Each day Jonathan receives a list from the Rescue Global team on the ground in Dominica to see what the prioritized needs are and they make purchases based on their recommendation. Every dollar donated on this page will go directly to the purchasing of goods and supplies. The donationas and supplies are then received by Rescue Global on the ground and distributed there by them. Please contact us if you have any more concerns about how or where funds are being used.
