This is Desmond he is a 10 year old bull terrier living in Hollywood. Presidents weekend he got very, very sick and ended up in the emergency vet hospital with an obstruction. He was quickly rushed to surgery and made it through with flying colors. After his surgery, he developed a heart arrhythmia and was not eating so he was kept in the ICU for 3.5 days. He began eating on the 3rd night and by the 4th day was doing well enough to be released the following morning.
He received a truly awesome level of care, but it came at a truly awesome cost as well. To the tune of $10,000. Des has made many people smile (are you one of the 600,000 people who have watched "Getting Home is Exciting" on youtube?), worked as the Target dog and even been in a few movies!
The entirety of the money donated will go to the costs already incurred for his care. Anything above and beyond will go directly to a bull terrier rescue or rescues of our choosing, so another rescue bully (did I mention he came from the Brooklyn NY animal shelter?) can live the good life.
