David’s Heart Failure Recovery

Hello, friends and family!
David Patten recently spent a total of 5 days in the hospital due to a virus that attacked his heart. The cardiologist diagnosed him with congestive heart failure and stated that if he had not come to the ER when he did, he was at an extremely high risk of dying from heart failure. Thank God for hospitals! His highest risk now is stroke. The road to recovery ahead of David includes 3 possibilities: the heart medicine and physical rehab work and his heart heals itself, his heart is not able to recover properly so he gets a pacemaker, or the most extreme route necessitates a heart transplant. Obviously, we are hoping and praying for the natural recovery and that no surgery will be necessary.
Unfortunately, this occurred at a time when David had no health insurance. He begins a new job as an ELL coach at the end of July which is when new health insurance will kick in. His cardiologist does not want him working at all until then to aid in the recovery process, so he has no means of income for a couple of months and some pretty hefty hospital bills. We are asking that you would prayerfully consider blessing the Patten family in raising support for David in this unexpected time of medical and financial difficulty.
Any amount helps significantly, and we especially thank you for your love and prayers. David welcomes visitors as the road to recovery can often feel long and and lonely.
