"Help Dane Record An Album!" Fund
Hello My Friends! I (Dane) am recording an album... And I need your help!!!
This April, I will be entering Earwig Studios in Seattle, WA with some incredibly talented musicians to record my very first solo album. It will be a dream come true.
Here is the reason why I am creating this GoFundMe campaign:
Producing a high-quality album takes a lot of work, and can be pretty expensive- especially when you are footing the whole bill on your own. I have the studio time booked and taken care of, but in a desire to get the album mixed, mastered, printed, and into your hands in a timely fashion, I need some help. I played a show with my band at Louie G's on Sat. Mar. 3rd to help raise funds for the project. The crowd was amazing, and we brought in good amound of funds to help us towards the goal, but I have also created this GoFundMe account for those who would be kind enough to go above and beyond in helping me make this dream happen.
All together, the whole process for making the album will cost roughly $5,000. So that is my goal.
Here's what that will include:
*Studio Time
*Mixing
*Mastering
*Artwork
*Printing
*Digital Distribution
If (between this GoFundMe account and the show) any funds come in above my goal, then I will be able to do some extras beyond the basic production.
Such as:
*T-shirts
*Hoodies
*Photos/Posters
*Possible Extra Studio Time/Mixing (longer album!)
*Vinyl!!! (super cool, but REALLY expensive)
*Misc. Recording Costs (guest musicians, instrument tune-up,etc.)
If the goal is reached by the end of March, the album will very likely be ready by July. If I don't meet my fundraising goals, that's okay too. It just means that the process will take quite a bit longer as I continue to save up the dough.
Regardless, I am beyond honored by and thankful to each and every one of you for your support in this process. It means the world to me!!!
Now, if you are wondering, "Why should I help? What do I get out of it??" Well, here's what you would get out of it...
Incentives:
$1-$24 Donation- You will receive my eternal gratitude for helping me make a dream come true. You will also receive my thanks... cuz you rock.
$25+ Donation- (22 Left) The first 25 people who donate $25-$49 to this campaign will receive the completed album in the mail 2 weeks ahead of its official release. (I will of course need your contact info for mailing purposes)
$50+ Donation- (Sold Out!!!) The first 10 people who donate $50-$99 to this campaign will receive the completed album AND copies of Dane's handwritten lyric sheets in the mail 2 weeks ahead of its official release. (I will of course need your contact info for mailing purposes)
$100+ Donation- (Sold Out!!!) The first 5 people crazy enough to give $100 or more to this campaign will be listed as Executive Producer in the album liner-notes, receive the completed album, AND copies of Dane's handwritten lyric sheets in the mail 2 weeks ahead of its official release. (I will of course need your contact info for mailing purposes)
HIGHEST DONATION GRAND PRIZE- In addition to all of the incentives listed above, the individual with the HIGHEST donation will spend 1 day in the studio with me and the band as we record the album. You will be able to hang out with us as we work, and observe the recording process. PLUS, I (Dane) will buy your dinner... it'll probably be Jimmy John's or something, but still... SWEET!!! *Winner must be able to provide transportation to and from the studio (in Seattle), and be available on one of the days we are scheduled to record.
