Help Get Dae'ja Back To Howard
MY STORY!
Hello my name is Dae'ja and I am a Howard University Bison. I have worked extremely hard when it comes to education. Unfortunately, I was not offered a scholarship from Howard only grants, which leaves me about $5,500 short from my spring semester balance. I ranked top 7% of my graduating class. My freshman year was absolutely amazing. I was introduced to my major immediately and had the chance to network and connect with several individuals. I also had the opportunity to be a part of the one and only QUAD Stroll Team. I am not ready for my Architecture journey to end so soon, nor the e chance to mentor new stroll team members in the upcoming year. Being at Howard University has taught me how to struggle and to keep fighting, as well as being persistent for whatever I want. Staying at Howard and being enrolled so that I can obtain my degree IS something I want and am fighting to keep! My household is currently struggling for funds for me to return, so they are doing the best they can for me to continue my education. Currently, I am working as well as filling out scholarships to help make the process better, but unfortunately I have not been awarded anything besides what I've raised through this GoFundMe account so far. A little can go a long way whether or not it's just $1. So, even if my goal is not met the funds will being used to help me decrease the balance keeping me from registering for the Fall 2015 school year. Your help/donations will be truly appreciated. I had the opportunity to assist the upper division Architecture students with building a crown DJ Booth for homecoming. The experience was awesome.

I have also been a volunteer with the T.H.I.N.K. Together program since my junior year of high school. Upon returning home from college before working this was one of my Kindergarten mentees that I worked closely with in reading and math. He was once so shy but as soon as he opened up, he showed me all the knowledge he was hiding from me.
Currently, I work as a Mentor and tutor with students in grades 9-12 interested in STEM fields in a program called TRIO. 
My dorm won the title of Resfest, in which I participated in the stroll competition for the legacy all girl dorm Harriet Tubman Quadrangle. 
This was the night before I left the ending of my freshman year with my best friends I gained a true life long relationship with. We decided to take a goofy picture that pretty much describes our love for each other in one photo. I am in the pink jacket and yellow shoes on the right posing with my best friend since 6th grade (4.0 GPA) They are some of the most caring, supportive, intelligent people I know with GPAs 3.5 and above.

My Dorm Resfest Team Round 1
This was the day of competition with my stroll team. We called ourselves 13 crowns, because the 13 of us made it through the year building a sisterhood and true genuine friendship with one another. With them my freshman year was even greater to know I had 13 soldiers that I could always count on for anything!
The Impact
The difference your contribution will make, would help limit the amount of student loans that I will have to take out, as well as I will get to keep my housing and register for fall 2015 with the goal being July 1st, if not I plan to ask Howard for an extension to have funds submitted. 
These are my best friends again when we were on spring break. We decided to enjoy a nice family dinner.
