Help Save Dado's Eye (Urgent!)

Dear friends and kind strangers around the world,
My cousin Dado (Dragoljub) Salapura, who lives in Bosnia, has had a problem with his left eye since he was a child. In a freak accident, a piece of wood hit him in the eye at his grandmother's farm around the age of 7. He had corrective surgery but there were long term risks associated.
Dado is now 28 years old. Last week he had trouble seeing and went to see a doctor. Dado found out that his sight has decreased to less than 1% in his left eye. He was told he needs a corrective laser surgery (retinal detachment surgery) within the next two weeks or his eye tissue would dry up and they would have to completely remove his eye. If he has the surgery his vision should improve in his left eye (it will never be close to perfect) and most important, his eye would be functioning and he would be able to keep his eye.
We hope to raise the funds by September 2nd so that Dado makes it to surgery on time.
The corrective surgery has to be done in the neighbouring Croatia, as there are no clinics who perform the surgery in Bosnia. The estimated cost is around $3800 Canadian dollars for the surgery and diagnosis. The surgery needs to be done as soon as possible, within 20 days and no later.
These types of surgeries and many surgeries for that matter are not covered in the impovrished Bosnia and we need to help him have the surgery and keep his eye safe! I ask of you to help my family get Dado the funds my cousin needs. Noone should have to lose an eye because they could not pay for a reasonably priced surgery.

A little bit about Dado: He loves animals! He just started building his own farm. He has many rabbits, chickens, goats and he soon hopes to buy his own cow!
His parents are not well off and don't have the funds to pay for the surgery.
We will be attaching the documents from his checkup and diagnosis and update everyone before and after his surgery!
