Help cover Gift's life-saving hospital stay!

How much would you pay to save your best friend's life?

On Monday, January 28, I went to bring my horses in for the night and found my mare, Gift, down. The emergency vet was called and as soon as she saw Gift, she said, "get the trailer - this horse is in critical condition."

She was rushed to Pilchuck Veterinary Equine Hospital in severe endotoxic shock - we still have no indication of what could have caused it. The vet was grim and kept saying how unlikely it was that she would survive the night. I had to make a decision then and there whether or not to even try emergency treatment options without any guarantee that the (significant) investment would pay off by ensuring her survival.

Drs. Haines and Hernandez triaging on arrival at the hospital.

There was no second guessing - I told the vet to pull out all the stops and I didn't care if the odds were long. Gift is family - she's my best friend, my teacher, my muse, and my coaching partner - not only has she saved my life and kept me on the planet more than once, she has helped heal so many people from past traumas and old wounds that have been holding them back. She is why I became a coach - because of her, I quit my corporate job to help people heal and live more compassionate, connected lives.

While she was in the hospital I and her companion, Fella, were lost - she is our anchor and our purpose.
She was so sick, it broke my heart :-(

Miraculously she survived and even more miraculously, she has recovered! The vets are amazed - they can't explain how she did it but I honestly believe it was a combination of their excellent medical care and an army of people around the world praying, sending energy healing, and holding positive intentions. Gift herself is a powerful healer - she knew we were fighting for her, and she fought the hardest of all.

As soon as she was stable I was ready to bring her home from the hospital, but then our region was hit by State of Emergency-level snow storms, and I was unable to safely get her. The vet hospital took amazing care of her while she was stuck there, and we finally were able to bring her home on Friday, February 15.

Saying thank you to Dr. Haines before we left the hospital.

We don't know the long-term implications of her endotoxemia - her heart may have been compromised. But for now she is home and her heart energy is as strong and loving as ever. She won't be coaching for a while though - I need her to take care of herself first before she goes back to healing humans.

And here's where we ask you for help. The hospital bill is significant and since my business has been impacted by both Gift's emergency and the weather, I am putting aside my pride and accepting any and all contributions. The funds will go towards paying off her hospital bill and follow up care.

As a small token of our gratitude, everyone who donates will receive a copy of my short e-book, "A Gift and an Angel" - the story of how Gift and Fella came to be my wonderful companions and best business partners. I know that when you read it you'll understand why Gift is so special and know that she has a sacred mission on this planet.

THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!
