** Support the Renovation of a Classroom's Roof in Senegal :
BEFORE RAINY SEASON starts END of JUNE 2018 **
Dear Friends,
Children all over the world should have access to education.
The delivery of the school supplies in Collège Saint Esprit in MBour (Sénégal) was a great success thanks you to all who contributed and donated :) THANK YOU !
> During my visit, the Director of the school took me on a tour of the premises. The condition of some of the classrooms located right under the roof broke my heart...
The Library + IT classroom attracted my attention the most. In the Library part of the classroom, the bookshelves had to be moved away from the walls, which are covered in mold. The IT part of the classroom is not much better. In short, the roof is leaking and rain has damaged the walls badly.
>> But, there is another problem… RAINY SEASON is starting END of JUNE. If the roof is not completely renovated by then, the Library + IT classroom will be flooded. The books will be lost and the computers will be destroyed !
>>> The school is ONLY missing 830 euros
to be able to renovate the roof of the Library + IT classrooms !

It all started with a family holiday trip which opened my eyes to the world's inequalities. We met this family, the father is a taxi driver and the mother is a stay at home mom, and have been friends for the last 20 years. As their children grew up, my parents offered to support the oldest daughter with her education.
My parents are my heroes. They inspire me everyday to better myself, hence my decision to follow their footsteps. I am now the proud 'godmother' of the oldest son of this family !
Let me share with you a quote that summarizes the very reason why we should support access to education : ''Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world'', Nelson Mandela.
