**You guys are just Awesome!!! We are totally overwhelmed by the response you people have given so far. We never imagined we could have pulled this off in such a short span of time. KUDOS!! to you all and to the Chennai-I Meetpom team.

**Thank you so so much for all your contributions and willingness to support. We will continue to serve the needy Chennai people on your behalf. After looking at the immense response and number of people interested in helping we decided to step up our goal to $10K. Please continue supporting us. We are putting our 100% effort to support the relief activity in any possible way in Chennai and in other districts apart from Chennai.


About our group,

We Chennai-I Meetpom are a combined team of students and working professionals from US and India who have taken an initiative to help Chennai people affected from flooding. Our aim is to raise $10000 and help stranded people in Chennai.

Chennai has been hit by history’s worst rainfall ever recorded leading to massive floods, ruining everyone’s daily life. With death toll increasing day by day, roads getting inaccessible, no mobile network, no electricity, no drinking water, people trapped in houses and not even able to attend nature calls, limited public transportation, the situation is just unimaginable. It is an unpredicted hassle that has brought the city to a complete Standstill.


Here is a nutshell on what we are currently planning to do with the funds,
1. We have already spoken to RJ Balaji and are teaming up with his BigFM team in Chennai to distribute food packets, medicine and provide accommodation to people stranded in Chennai
2. We are also making efforts to team up with other organizations like SEVABHARATHI TAMILNADU to support flood relief activities.

We will keep you all updated about how the funds are utilized. We are confident that we will make our best effort to track each dollar collected through this initiation reaches the needy. We will be grateful and would like to thank you in advance who are willing to contribute and for all your support.
