Charlie Has A Broken Heart

We had to take our sweet boy Charlie to the vet yesterday due to his distended belly, chronic cough and severe breathing difficulties. It turns out Charlie has right and left congestive heart failure. His abdomen has fluid in it. His heart is so enlarged. We are attempting to treat it because the doctor said there's a chance for a full life after treatment but he'll always have an enlarged heart and be limited in exercise. He needs to see a cardiologist ASAP to be assessed more in depth, and we will need to follow up with weekly appointments and medications as well. This will be an ongoing process for a while but the most crucial part is the next couple of days as we start him on medications and the HOPE of seeing a cardiologist by the end of this week. The expense just to to see a cardiologist is a LOT and we are unable to pay it all up front. Charlie is our world! Sarah has been with Charlie for 12+ years and I've been with him for the past 4 years. We are hoping to give Charlie the best possible care he deserves, which will then lead to a longer life for him! I know there is a lot of devastation going on in the world right now, but any amount donated will be much appreciated!!! We want Charlie to stick around for a few more years Thank you in advance!
