Help Chance Have A Fighting Chance!

After 5 days of dealing with what was thought to only be a rash of some sort, my friend Chance would soon experience much worse. He started to have severe pain, flu sympotoms, blisters, sores, etc. and appeared to start going into mental distress. His fever was so high, Chance began to hallucinate.  This was the point he was not in the right state of mind and  it took his wife, several family members & friends to convince my good friend, Chance to go to the hospital. We are extremely blessed that he did go! 

On Wednesday, November 1, 2017 Chance was taken to the hopsital by ambulance. He was diagnosis with NSTI (flesh eating bacteria). The doctors advised his wife he was within hours of no longer being with us and was immediately set up for his first of many surgeries. Even though he made it to the hospital in time, it was still touch and go for the last two weeks. He has already had 5 surgeries and above are picutres of how extensively the bacteria had spread under his skin. 

This medical emergency came at a time that Chance and his family were in the process of moving out of their house by a certain deadline and were still looking for a  new place to live. Due to his medical condition, his wife, a few family memebers and friends had to load all their belongings up and fill not one but three storage units. This has now impacted the family financially and will continue until Chance is fully recovered. He was the sole provider for the family and now will be out of work for up to 3-4 months. He will endure more surgeries for skin grafting and rehabilitation. He was released to go home, today. Chance and his family are currently residing at his parents due to the circumstances and no longer having a place of their own. Chance's first load of medication was a grand total of 5,000 even after medical insurance, one can only imagine how much more the financial impact will be in the coming months.

My friend and his family need help! I am asking for that help for them. They are beautiful people who were there for me when I needed help and I am hoping to do the same for them. They are not one to ask for help themselves, they have always been on the giving side.  I put the amount at 50,000 in order to offset the medical bills (amount is not known that insurance will not cover at the present moment, will update)medications, daily living expenses and even to help to enable them to find a place to move into of their own, again.

*****If anyone deserves a little extra help and support- it's my mother and my stepfather. They have always been the type to help other people in any way that they can. No matter what, they will do what they can do. For example, right now while they do not have a lot and are going through such a difficult time.... they are still talking about helping other families that have been effected by the same infection as my stepdad to help them out in whatever ways that they can which is why when things get a little better fo my family... we will be trying to raise money and spread awareness for this infection to help others out in a time they need it in return for everyone else helping us in our time of need.
