Help Casey afford a functioning PC workstation!
UPDATE: The initial goal has been passed! Thank you so so much for your help! I am overjoyed by the support you have shown and can't wait to bring even bigger and better things to the shows I edit.
I wanted to inform everyone of where funds past the initial $3000 will be going. The goal covered the PC hardware and a second monitor (accounting for tax and GoFundMe fees), but there are other needs I didn't originally include:
1) A quality two arm VESA mount for my dual monitors. The flexibility of this will help greatly with ergonomics, which are necessary to keep my RSI hand pain in-check.
2) Floor stands for my studio speakers (or some kind of wall mount). With two monitors, I will no longer have space on my desk for my speakers but still need head-level placement for accurate stereo editing.
3) A pair of proper open-back studio headphones. I've used my consumer-grade Bose headphones for years, which don't have the best drivers and favor artificially punchy EQ over a flat and accurate frequency response.
4) Maybe a couple extra fans for the PC to keep thermals low. I originally cheaped out on fans to keep my build cost down, which is a risky move in the long term.
Anything above the goal will be invested into those additions! Thank you again for your tremendous generosity. I am truly grateful.

Hey there!
I'm Casey Toney and if you're here you're probably familiar with some of my work as a podcast editor, engineer, and part time performer on shows such as NeoScum , Campaign Skyjacks , and Hey Riddle Riddle .
As an audio professional, I spend a LOT of time on my computer editing, striving to push the boundaries of audio production and sound design in the projects I work on. But with that comes demanding system needs and a lot of wear and tear. In the past month, technical issues with my current laptop setup have resulted in hardware failure, crashes, corrupted project files, and delayed releases.
So, for the sake of my work, it's time to transition to my first ever custom built PC.

I'm seeking $3000 USD to cover the full price of a state-of-the-art editing workstation and a second monitor to replace the additional display my laptop provided. (This goal covers tax and relevant platform fees.)
With my new system in tow, I'll be able to work more efficiently without worrying about slowdowns, crashes, and instability. With fewer barriers between me and my ideas, I can produce more creative, complex, and consistent work.
