Help Build YWA

Donation protected
The Yale Women in Architecture (YWA) alumnae/i group is building a website to serve as a central hub for communication and community endeavors such as peer support, events and gatherings.  The website also aims to provide a platform for a school-wide mentorship program.

As graduates of Yale School of Architecture, we have a wide, supportive network that is available to all of us.  At this juncture, however, YSOA alumni groups must function independently of the school.  Your support now will help us change this.

Part of YWA's mission is to connect interested parties across disciplines.  Thus, we are seeking support from professionals in architecture, landscape, urbanism, the arts, real estate development, academia, and any other field affiliated with architecture.

Funding goal: $10,000.  $6,000 for website and $4,000 for mentoring survey and program development.

Deadline: Please make your contribution as soon as possible so that we can coordinate with the YSOA in time for this year’s graduation on May 21.

YWA represents the establishment of a viable, working alumni network. It will be a tremendous asset from which both alums and the school will benefit. That said, we still need to continue our financial support of the YSOA, especially as this is one way that Dean Burke is being evaluated by the University.

Thank you for taking the time to read this appeal, for supporting YWA, and for donating.

MISSION:
Yale Women in Architecture is an inclusive community, led by graduates of the Yale School of Architecture, which promotes excellence and equity in the field of architecture and related professions. YWA provides fellowship through mentorship, advocacy and programming and promotes leadership and career advancement through the expertise of its members and affiliated organizations. Through an inter-generational exchange of experiences and knowledge, YWA fosters women's leadership and entrepreneurship in all facets of the ever-evolving profession of architecture and urbanism.  While its primary audience is female graduates from architecture degree programs at Yale, YWA welcomes all people to take part in improving the practice of architecture worldwide.
