help beverly with costs for surgeries

Beverly Jackson needs your help. I have set up a Healthcare Fund at TD Bank for our friend and colleague Beverly Jackson who is in desperate need of two operations. The first operation will be to replace her left knee, and the second operation is needed to replace her right hip. Because of the severe deterioration of these joints, it is imperative that she has these operations as soon as possible because it is becoming increasingly more difficult for her to walk.

Due to the enormous out of pocket expenses "” co-pays, pre-admission testing, post op physical therapy and the necessary follow-up care, which are not covered by her insurance Beverly cannot afford to have these operations.

For those of you who know Beverly, she has extensive research skills. She has spent the past year looking into numerous resources for financial assistance with these operations "” including Senior Services, Medicaid and the Affordable Healthcare Act to name a few. Unfortunately, like so many others "” she falls through the cracks. Her income is limited, but not limited enough to qualify for any assistance. Given the budget cuts here in New Jersey, you have to be at the absolute poverty level to be eligible for financial support with medical expenses.

So, I am asking for your financial support in helping Beverly with these urgent medical needs. Your donations of any amount will be greatly appreciated.
