Help Aunt Phyllis & Uncle Clayton

UPDATE 9/22/17: Thanks so much to everyone who gave to this fundraiser for my family in Texas.  Phyllis (my dad’s sister) and Clayton are in the unpleasant process of gutting, cleaning, and salvaging what they can.  In addition, they are caring for and living with four elderly relatives also displaced by the storm.   Sadly, as a family we lost photographs and handmade heirlooms from my grandparents, but we have also banded together more than ever. My maternal grandmother's evacuation to Austin became permanent and she is downsizing to a senior apartment.  She is contributing significant pieces of furniture to them—a family tree crossover!—and hopefully soon they will have a place to put it.  Your contributions will likewise go towards basic needs lost, like a mattress, a refrigerator, etc.  I cannot express to you how touched they are to receive love and support from family and strangers alike.  I will never forget your generosity.

Original post: My wonderful Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Clayton have lost their home in hurricane Harvey.   Over the last couple decades, they've spent their free time on missions to build homes for those in need--now they need us. They were emergency rescued yesterday and what's next is unknown.  I am creating this page so they have at least a little help on the essentials as they start over.   True to their character, anything raised will be shared with their community in need.
