AHS Snowboard Team Needs Your Help!
Please Help Ashland High Snowboard Team get to State Finals!
We are the Ashland High School Snowboard Team and we love to shred!!! We compete in Slope Style, Half Pipe, Boarder Cross, and Banked Slalom and we do it well! We have been Oregon state champs 4 years in a row! Unfortunately, our local mountain does not currently have enough snow to shred on....and we don't know how long it will be before they do. In order for the team to compete in the Oregon State Championship finals at Mt. Hood in March, we need to be holding preliminary competitions to earn the points to qualify for state. To do that, we need snow or get to a place that has it.
Opportunity
This epic school club gives an outlet for those who don't have interest in common sports or clubs. It provides opportunity for scholarships, further progression in snowboarding through profile building, and confidence through being a part of a team. These students work so hard both academically and athletically to make this team a success and we want to see them get to State!
How can you help?
The closest place for us to snowboard and hold competitions to qualify us for state is Mt. Bachelor. But we need the funds to pay the way. The cost of tickets, mountain use fees, and judges for our kids to compete there exceed our current funds. These kids have already spent a good deal on season passes to Mt. Ashland yet are unable to ride there. Your donation to the team will help us tremendously during this difficult season!
