hi everyone!

a few days ago while i was delivering driving, i came across a dog who looked super malnourished and scared. i put her in the car and took her home. i’ve been trying to find her a more suitable home, but so far i haven’t had any luck or interest in her. she’s such a sweet girl and deserves to heal in a calm environment. i live in a one bedroom apartment on the second floor and she’s fearful of stairs. it seems to hurt her back legs whenever she tries to go up the stairs. i took her to the vet and got her a rabies shot. she also got a dewormer and was negative for heartworms. she didn’t have any fleas when i found her and i gave her a flea/heartworm preventative. i also gave her a bath today and her coat is looking fabulous!

currently i’m working two jobs and i wish i had more time to spend with her throughout the week. it would be awesome to find a home where she can feel more comfortable in order to regain her strength and to have some who can be with her more frequently.

she has no microchip and after posting on several apps, facebook groups, calling shelters, as well as animal control, i’ve had no luck finding her a safe place to go.

she’s been eating and drinking really well, which is a fantastic sign so far! she’s really starting to grow in confidence and you can really see what a sweet, loving soul she is.

any help would be greatly appreciated! i have a cat and a dog at home with me, and paying for their food and medical expenses is already one my biggest financial responsibilities. i was hoping to be able to buy this sweet girl some more food, as well as continue taking her to the vet to track her recovery process. i wanted to get her some doggy diapers, pet wipes, an orthopedic dog bed to help her joints, and any medication to help soothe her pain. she’s definitely a senior pup, at least 10 years old. i believe she must have been someones dog, she’s very well behaved and hasn’t shown an ounce of aggression towards my animals or boyfriend/roommate.
