Not really sure on how to start this so I'm just going to jump into it.
On Friday night (3/09) my friend Amanda and i were out having a girls night on Fremont street. We were having a really amazing time but it was getting a little late so we decided to call it a night and head back to my car. I drove but she usually takes an uber back home after i pick her up. I parked behind my boyfriends shop downtown tattoo because they have cameras just to be safe. Amanda being the freakin angel she is decided to walk me to my car literally saying "it can be sketchy let me walk you".. We get to Fremont and 11th across the street from The Bunkhouse Saloon and see a "service dog" tied to a fence next to the speedy mart. The dog clearly was stressed and howling so we go to comfort it and look around for the owner. He was clearly abandoned. A older man in his late 30s-50s came out of the store(directly next to the tattoo shop) saying something but it was too far to actually hear him so we ask if its his dog. He then goes on saying "its not my fucking dog, ill kill it" he's walking up very close to us at this point repeating he was going to kill the dog. Another guy intervened and is trying to get him away from us but doesn't really work. the man starts calling us bitches in the most hateful way I've ever heard someone speak. it still makes me sick to my stomach. I said i was going to call the cops crouching over the dog and Amanda standing in front of me pretty much trying to protect me and the dog with her arms out like "stay back" to keep distance from him. Me telling him i was calling the cops pissed him off even more to the point he yells "I DON'T CARE BITCH CALL THE FUCKING COPS" AT THE SAME TIME THROWING A FULL GLASS BOTTLE BEER AT AMANDAS FACE" she immediately dropped to the ground and he starts running. sadly he was not caught but we have him on video two different places and he's a known guy around the area. Amanda was taken to the hospital with broken teeth/nose, busted mouth and lip. needing stitches and dental work. The physical wounds done to Amanda aren't where this story stops. Amanda is a victim of physical assault and is suffering from numerous types of trauma. Like anyone, Amanda will carry this memory and anxiety with her. Sad to say, but ladies be careful out there, men too. We've created this GoFund me page for Amanda because we decided its the best we can do to help her at this point. Please help us help Amanda, with these pricy medical expenses that have accumulated and will continue to add up. ANYTHING helps. Thanks for reading.
