Hello! I am the wife of the Dutchman Rolf Schut. Unfortunately on April 7th, 2015 he had a major work accident. The electric shock he received from a transformer caused severe internal burns subsequently igniting his outer body into flames and burning over 60 percent of his body.
Because of this most unfortunate event, I am contacting you and respectfully request your assistance and /or support as the seriousness of my husband’s condition will require a long period of rehabilitation; medications, compression garments, hospitalization, rehabilitation therapy and psychologic counseling. Additionally, upon his discharge from the hospital, doctors recommended having his bed and bathroom with shower on the first floor because he won’t be able to use the stairs.
Before the accident we built in the back of the house, however it is not finished. It is necessary to have the most aseptic environment possible because burn victims are at a higher risk of infection. We also need a hospital type bed with railings, building materials to finish the construction on the back of the house and the materials and flooring for building a bathroom with a shower. A burn victim needs constant surgeries, primarily from plastic surgeons, for both aesthetic and functional reconstruction due to the severe burns. He will also need hair grafts as part of his head was affected by the fire. Although Mexico has excellent hospitals and doctors, there is a very small number of burn units that receive medium complexity burn victims and therefore lack the resources, facilities and equipment for the treatment of these high risk and large surface cases, as is the case of my husband who has severe second and third degree burns.
Our two daughters are studying at the University, one in Psychology and the other in Industrial Engineering and are struggling with tuition payments and have not acquired the necessary materials for their classes. We need to buy a laptop for the Engineering program because they use heavy industrial design and the laptop is used in many cases, even for the tests. Now that our family income has been reduced to just a single disability paycheck from my husbands’ work, we cannot meet our financial obligations.
Please, this is a desperate cry for HELP!, which from the depths of my being I do on behalf of a Dutchman who came to live in this beautiful country of Mexico to start a family like many other foreigners. This was an unfortunate accident that could have happened to anyone. I hope you can help, please, so I 'm opening this crowd funding account to receive donations which will be most helpful in this unfortunate situation.

Hola! Soy esposa del Holandés Rolf Schut, que desafortunadamente el pasado 07 de abril de este año, tuvo un fuerte accidente de trabajo, cuando recibió una descarga eléctrica con un transformador y tuvo quemaduras internas por la electricidad y se incendió por fuera, lo que le ocasionó por el fuego quemaduras externas en el 60 por ciento de la superficie de su cuerpo.
Por tan lamentable suceso me pongo en contacto con ustedes y respetuosamente solicito su ayuda y/o apoyo, ya que mi esposo por la gravedad de su estado, requiere por un largo periodo; medicamentos, prendas de presoterapia, hospitalización, terapias de rehabilitación, apoyo psicológico, además para cuando lo den de alta del hospital, nos comentan los médicos que debe tener su cama y el baño con regadera en el primer piso ya que no será posible al principio que pueda subir escaleras. Antes del accidente construimos en la parte de atrás de la casa pero no terminamos y en este momento se encuentra en obra negra, es necesario tener un ambiente lo más aséptico posible porque lo más grave en la situación de una persona quemada son los riesgos de infección. También necesitamos una cama del tipo que usan en los hospitales con barandales, material de construcción para finalizar la zona que está en obra negra, pisos, material para la construcción de un baño con regadera, una víctima de quemadura debe ser sometida a constantes intervenciones quirúrgicas, principalmente por cirujanos plásticos que reconstruyen tanto estética como funcionalmente su cuerpo por las quemaduras de alto riesgo, necesitará también injertos de cabello ya que parte de su cabeza fue afectada por el fuego, les comento que aunque tenemos, excelentes médicos y hospitales Mexicanos, hay un número muy reducido que cuentan con anexos o unidades para quemados de hasta media complejidad, se carece de los recursos, instalaciones y equipamientos para la atención de casos con quemaduras de gran extensión y alto grado de superficie afectada, como es el caso de mi esposo, ya que tiene quemaduras de segundo y tercer grado profundas graves.
Nuestras dos hijas tienen también complicaciones para los pagos de colegiaturas y no han podido adquirir tampoco el material que les solicitan, ellas están estudiando en la Universidad, una la carrera de Psicología y la otra la carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, Necesitamos adquirir una laptop para la carrera de Ingeniería ya que usan pesados programas de diseño industrial y la laptop se utiliza en muchas ocasiones hasta para los exámenes. y nuestros ingresos familiares han sido disminuidos considerablemente a tan solo un sueldo; resultante de la incapacidad de mi esposo otorgado por el IMSS.
Por favor es un grito de ¡Ayuda!, que desde lo más profundo de mi ser les hago en nombre de un Neerlandés que se vino a vivir a México a este hermoso País, a formar una familia como muchos otros extranjeros. Esto fue un lamentable accidente que pudo haberle sucedido a cualquiera. Espero por favor puedan ayudarnos por lo que estoy abriendo una cuenta de crownd fonding y poder recibir donaciones las cuales serán de gran ayuda en esta desafortunada situación.

Allereerst wil ik alle mensen bedanken die ons hebben gesteund, alwel de mensen die de tijd nemen om dit te lezen.
7 April van dit jaar (2015), heeft mijn man Rolf Schut een erntig ongeval ondevonden, hij werd geelektrocuteerd door een transformator van het bedrijf waar hij werkt, en vloog in brand. Dat veroorzaakte externe brandwonden over 59% van het lichaam (alswel interne brandwonden).
In eerste instantie werd hij opgenomen in het ziekenhuis van de IMMS (traumatologie en ...orthopedie) in Puebla, Mexico. Daar kreeg hij helaas ademhalingsproblemen, een longontsteking en diverse complicaties die zijn leven bedreigden. Met steun van het bedrijf waar hij werkt werd hij daarom overgeplaatst naar het ziekenhuis Angeles in Puebla, Mexico. Gezien de hoge kosten van de behandeling in ziekenhuis Angeles, en de lange duur van de herstelperiode, heeft het bedrijf zijn budget overschreden en wil men zodra dat mogelijk is mijn man weer laten terugkeren naar het IMMS (trauma en orthopedie) ziekenhuis.
De behandeling van Rolf vereist medicatie, compressie kleding, revalidatie therapie, psychologische ondersteuning. Als brandwond slachtoffer zal die worden onderworpen aan constante operaties, voornamelijk door plastisch chirurgen, voor de reconstructie op estetisch alwel functioneel gebied. Dit brengt een hoog risico met zich mee, vanwege de tweede en derde graad brandwonden die mijn man heeft.
Voor het ongeluk werkte ik in de verkoop van reclame, en studeerde talen aan de universiteit. Het ziekenhuis vraagt ons om in ernstige periodes en op de intensive care 24 uur per dag aanwezig te zijn in het ziekenhuis. Daarom heb ik alles achter moeten laten. Vanwege de afstend naar het ziekenhuis heb ik mijn huis moeten verlaten, en ben ik bij mijn moeder ingetrokken die mij helpt met mijn twee dochters. Mijn dochters studeren aan de universiteit, de ene Industrial Engineering en de andere psychologie. Ons inkomen is gelimiteerd tot het bedrag dat wij ontvangen van de sociale zekerheid, dit brengt complicaties betreffende de betalingen die we voorheen met twee salarissen betaalden.
Om al deze redenen wil ik u vragen om ondersteuning. Deze situatie is zeer moeilijk fysiek, psychologisch en economisch.
Alstublieft, dit is een roep om hulp!!! Deze komt uit het diepste van mijn wezen, in naam van een Nederlander die naar Mexico kwam, naar dat prachtige land, om een gezin te stichten als veel buitenlanders. Dit was een betreurenswaardig ongeluk dat iedereen had kunnen overkomen, maar helaas is het gebeurd met mijn man Rolf. Ik hoop dat u kan helpen.
Ik ben momenteel bezig om een actie op te zetten via crowdfunding, dit om geld in te zamelen.
Dat zal een grote hulp zijn in deze zware situatie.
