Collage is a local boutique in York, PA that believes in the gift of giving back. About a year ago,we heard about a nearby Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence that was low on donations. The building was run down and in need of some TLC, and the program was overwhelmed by the families in need. Since then, we've reached out to our Collage customers who have generously donated clothing, bedding, household items, toiletries and funds to help this important program also known as Access York. Whitney, the owner of Collage, adopted a room over the summer and along with several children, painted the room giving a family a fresh, clean place to restart their lives. Today, we are reaching out to you because we would like to build a playground for the children living at the shelter. These children have escaped violent situations, often with just the clothing on their backs. They've had to leave everything they loved behind. A Playground at the Shelter would allow these children to begin to play again, to laugh and feel joy, and get their minds off the serious situations in their lives. We would like to start building this playground in the Spring with any funds that are donated. If you have a few dollars to spare we greatly appreciate anything that you are able to give.
