Help Steve Fight Cancer

My sister and I are raising funds to help our father attend a healing, detox workshop at the Hippocrates Health Institute in Palm Beach Florida; with the hopes that his body will naturally heal this cancer away as our healthy systems often do. Our fight began 5 years ago when our dad was first diagnosed with Transitional cell carcinoma (TCC, also urothelial cell carcinoma or UCC) which is a type of cancer that typically occurs in the urinary system: the kidney, bladder, and accessory organs. Since then he has under gone 4 surgeries to remove his bladder, prostate, urethra, and all but 1/3 of one kidney. The reasons for removal were because of the aggressive strain of cancer; it does not react to chemotherapy or radiation treatments. Unfortunately, surgery has been his only option. Our father learned just before Thanksgiving that he tested positive again for cancer. They believe it’s in his kidney and they’re recommending surgery to remove the last of his renal tissue. In doing this, he would  lose all of what is remaining of his kidney, which will put him on dialysis every day for the remainder of his life . Our fight is first for his quality of life for which he has already made tremendous financial and biological sacrifice. His hopes with attending Hippocrates Health Institute is to complete a three-week extensive detox program, and return with a regiment to continue strengthening his body's natural cancer fighting systems. He has read and researched for years about this program, but the cost has always been out of reach. We are down to two options. So again we will fight! Our father is being awarded a $1,000 grant to attend this program if he can raise the remainder $5,000 for tuition as well as funds for flights and other expenses during this three-week program.
