Help little Rayhan

I'm Emad Dlala, a resident in Pleasanton, California and an employee at Lucid Motors. I'm reaching out to you today because I'd like to ask you to support Rayhan and his family. Rayhan is a very sweet boy who was born with Down Syndrome. His parents were refugees from Afghanistan who moved to the US for a better life but now are going through a very tough time to support their 6 children financially. Rayhan's family resides in the east side of the Bay Area, California where both the father and the mother work part time in low-wage jobs. Since at least one parent needs to stay home with Rayhan, it's been even harder for them to support their children. More sorrowful, recently, the family of Rayhan was struck with a tragedy when their rented apartment got burned by a fire (in picture). As a result they lost all of their belongings including clothes, kids' toys and books, kitchen tools, basic furniture etc. They had to move out and live in a hotel for over 2 weeks, buy some basic (old) clothes and items for their kids. Because of this, they accumulated over 20,000 USD of debt in their credit cards and the debt was still gowning until today, but they reached the limit where every bank refused to issue money or new credit cards to them. While they are staying in the hotel, Rayhan fell very sick and they are currently treating him which is adding to their finical burden. 


I've known Rayhan's family for over 2 years now, and they are one of the humblest, simplest, nicest people I've ever known. I've never seen them uncontent even after the fire tragedy. Rayhan's father, Hasan Samimi, has always refused to accept any help and this time was hardly convinced by me to do this campaign. The local community in the East Bay has donated to them but unfortunately that wasn’t enough.


Ideally, this family would get a home instead of moving from an apartment to a hotel and from a hotel to an apartment and so on, but that dream seems very distant unless for your very generous help. Today, I'm here to request all of us to help save Rayhan's family from the burden of growing debt, to help Rayhan get proper treatment, and to help the family rent a decent home. And I'm sure you'll be blessed by Rayhan’s innocence and the prayers of this struggling, simple, nice family.
