My name is Miri and I'm fundraising for my gender-affirming top surgery.
For surgery and aftercare, I need around 10k which is honestly disgusting. I can’t wait until I can feel complete, and less self-conscious.
I've been thinking about gender and possible medical changes since I was eleven, and when I was around fourteen I realised to fully feel like myself I would need to transition. The last two years were, of course, pretty difficult for universal reasons, but the feelings of low self-worth and self-hate were overwhelming for me. I tried to take my life last year (2020) and thankfully failed. a year of therapy and working on my mental state has paid off, and I finally feel ready to start this process. I want to feel like who I was meant to be before life gets in the way. I want to feel comfortable navigating the world as I enter my 20s.
This might be a difficult process, but it's more than necessary. It’s life-saving.
