MACIEK NEEDS HELP TO KICK CANCER

In this final note we would like to let you know what will happen with the money we collected for Maciek. Donations came from friends, family, and many others we have never met. Maciek didn’t get the chance to use the money during his battle with cancer, which lasted just a little over five weeks, so we have found a very meaningful way to use the money to honor our dear friend.
Going to the cemetery to visit a loved one is a sacred experience, so the money that was raised for Maciek will be used to pay for two headstones: one in Chicago, USA, and one in Szczucin, Poland. The first headstone will be at Maciek’s final resting place at Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago, USA, and the second headstone will be in Szczucin, Poland. Thanks to the generosity of so many, we are able to afford two headstones that will pay proper and beautiful homage to Maciek’s life.
The money we collected will be handed to Maciek’s uncle, Andrzej Parais. Andrzej was not only Maciek’s uncle but he was more like a father and true friend. As the beneficiary, Andrzej agreed to make all the arrangements and order both headstones. Andrzej already ordered the headstone for the Chicago grave. He is now in Poland to arrange for the second headstone and make it possible for all Maciek’s friends and family living in Poland to have a place “to chat” with Maciek, or simply to light a candle or pray.
