Help Isabee's help Beekeepers help Bees

Bees and pollinators are in peril, stressed from a variety of challenges. The complete and profound impact of their existence in our lives is difficult for us to fully discern.  We do know however, that honeybees are critical to our nation's food supply and our nutrition as primary pollinators for 90+ different crops.  Moreover, their existence and well-being impacts our physical health through the honey, beeswax, pollen, propolis and bee venom they provide us.

Isabees is the only beekeeping supply resource in St. Louis, serving the bi-state beekeeping community since 2009 with retail equipment, classes, consultation and apiary management services.  Isabees provides detailed information about the use of equipment and accessories; provides year-round beekeeping education through classes and expert guidance; offers consultation and trouble shooting, most of which provided to beekeepers at any level, in-store and free-of-charge.  We want beekeepers to be successful and have happy, healthy bees.

Isabees, llc. promotes a comprehensive approach to understanding the challenges facing honeybees and other insect pollinators.  Along with BeeSpeak and the Saint Louis Beekeepers club (founded by Jane Sueme and Scott Klein), Isabee’s remains the direct connection between these important organisms and the stewards that protect them.  Just as bees are critical to a healthy community, so too is Isabee’s.

Our goal with this fund drive is for Isabee's to continue providing product and services to a growing beekeeping community, to offer information for educators and pollinator stewards, expand education space with more classes, have more access to equipment use and rental, as well as on-site consulting and out-reach to the St. Louis area community at large.

Isabee’s Needs Your Help

It’s time to fledge the nest, as it were, from the St. Louis County Economic Development Business Incubator  (STL VentureWorks) that has served Isabee's for 4+ years.  At the same time, Isabee's needs to evolve to offer the growing beekeeping and pollinator steward community more services.  We need to raise $34,000 in the 4th Quarter of 2018 to:

 •  Move to a larger, more centrally located building, easy to access with convenient parking

 •   Make capital improvements to provide additional and advanced equipment options for 2019 and beyond

 •   Offer more inexpensive beginner classes and hands-on instruction with honeybee hives on-site

 •  Offer advanced training by guest educators and experts throughout the year

 •   Provided expanded on-site rental space, accessibility and options

 •   Increase public education materials, space and outreach

Beekeeping is a life-long learning experience.  The St. Louis and bi-state beekeeping community deserves to have Isabee’s as a resource and these are the things we need to stay relevant. With your help Isabee's will be able to  better support our local beekeepers and the pollinator protection community at large. Help us keep it going.
