A Journey for Baby Zoey's Club Feet

Donation protected
Zoey's Club Feet Journey began with a high risk pregnancy starting at 26 weeks, with the help of a cerclage and weekly progesterone shots Zoey held out and made her appearance full term at 39 weeks. She is one very happy and healthy little girl minus the club feet. We went to our local Columbus Childrens Orthopedic Center where she went through 5 weeks of casting, one set each week. On the fourth cast set the doctor looked at us and with a blank stare and said I think you need to go see someone else... we could see the panic in his face, he rambled off a few names and then came up with the one who trained him, a pediatric childrens expert here in Columbus. The very next day Zoey's Grandma unexpectendly passed away. A week later we pulled together and saw the Pediatric Expert, after his examination we were told that Zoey now has Atypical / Complex Club Feet which occurs in less than 5% of all cases Worldwide, he briefly talked about how he could maybe help with surgeries but the prognosis of re-occurance would be extremely high. He kept saying I think we will be OK, but when he seen her without the cast he became very quiet, mumbled something about doing the surgeries but they probably would not work, so I asked if this were your daughter what would you do? He said there really is no place to go in Ohio, not Cleveland, Cincinnati or here in Columbus. We would need a specialist that see's this daily. Our journey now takes us to St. Louis, MO to see Dr. Dobbs the closest expert that we pray will be able to help Zoey. Contributions to Zoey's fund will go directly to pay the medical bills (our insurance does not cover out of state claims) and travel expenses to and from Columbus / St. Louis. The journey is expected to last anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks depending on how well Zoey responds to the treatment. Please keep Zoey in your prayers, any and all help will be greatly appreciated. You can follow Zoey's journey on Facebook and we are always available if you have any questions.

Below are pictures from birth to where we are now:

The last two pictures are where we are now after 5 weeks of casting, they are in need of more repair than when we started which is why we have to see the specialist in St. Louis.
