In the blink of an eye, your life can change. My best friend Melanie had that happen to her. Yesterday,  her whole life was turned upside down when she unexpectedly lost her husband. He was only 32 years old. He leaves behind his wife of more than 7 years, his 12 year old daughter , and his 4 year old Son ( who I believe was the love of his very short life). Life hasn’t always been easy for this family. They have had ups and downs, good times and bad ones, just like all of us. Sometimes more than the other. You see, Ted was a war veteran. He joined the military a young man full of life , but He came back from the war different then when he left for it.. and over the years he couldn’t escape what being in a war had done to him. He fought hard against himself for many years. That energetic , full of life mans light had gotten dimmer and dimmer , and still he fought hard. When his son came along , I believe his heart was full of joy and he loved him more than anything. His son was his favorite buddy. Unfortunately his body had become so tired from fighting , it decided to quit on him and finally give him the peace he so much wanted and so much deserved. Awareness needs to be raised for all of the veterans out there that have come back from the war a changed person, and have been either tossed aside or forgotten about or not given back what they have given for their county. Yesterday the world  lost a 32 year old man that had an entire life ahead of him.. a wife that loved him, kids he adored and his son that he lovedso much.. Yesterday my friend woke up a wife and went to sleep a widow. .. and it breaks my heart. But thru everything.. Mel always keeps her head high, and would never ask anyone for help, because she’s too proud of a person.. and that’s one of the reasons we r friends- because I WILL ask for help for her. On top of Christmas being a few short days away and the last minute shopping that needed to be done- it all has been put on hold to try to pay for funeral expenses , on top of that - ther is upcoming rent  and all other bills.. yesterday she did this as a team with someone- today she does this alone financially. She needs the time to wrap her head around everything, and not worry about all of the money that is required to grieve someone . I would like to raise enough money to help with the funeral expenses and possibly pay the January rent atleast so she can take a few weeks of catching her breath.  Melanie would help , and has helped anyone she can when a tragedy arises. Melanie is a hard worker - she works a full time job with overtime every day and goes home to be a full time Mom and wife . She never misses a day doing either job.  In the last few years she has lost her grandmother, her mother (whom was her very best friend), her father had a massive stroke last year that landed him in a nursing home almost completely helpless and requiring around the clock medical care.  Just in the past two months she has lost two pets, and now she has lost her husband, her best friend, her partner thru this life.  I know that her heart and her mind can’t take anymore. Can you please help me help ease the burden of funeral costs and rent for her , and help give her some time worry free of other things to focus on grieving and healing her and her family’s broken hearts? I thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart!!
