Help Yousuf See the World!

Hello Everyone,
My mother recently traveled to Afghanistan and in her journeys, she was visiting a home in Kabul of a family she was trying to help with a couple of issues. She was talking to a woman when she noticed a young man by the name of Yousuf Samadi. He was wearing a pair of sunglasses indoors which she found a bit strange. As the day went on she noticed one time when he took the sunglasses trying to watch television. His face was inches in front the TV. She went to him and advised him to not sit so close to the TV. When he turned around, my mother was immediately taken aback by the condition of his eyes.
There was a silvery tone across his eyes indicating a severe form of cataracts. My mother’s heart immediately began to melt as she was talking to this sweet, polite little kid who had a condition that was so easily treatable.
His father apparently left him to go to Europe to try and find some help for him several years ago. But he has never returned and has made no contact, making his and the family’s situation that much direr.
My mother felt compelled to try to do something for this young man. He was articulate, intelligent, very charming and if she could fix his cataracts, the world would open up to him and he would have a chance to do great things.
She immediately began researching hospitals, doctors and other organizations that specialize in cataract treatments. She found an organization that has several hospitals in India which specialize in cataract treatments. His family is very poor, so we are trying to raise the money to travel to India, get an initial screening and get the surgery he needs.
She asked for my help to get the word out and I thought there is no better way than GoFundme.
If you are able to, please donate whatever you can to help open up the world to this young man. Given the corruption and crime in Afghanistan right now, she did not feel safe just sending him the money over there. She wants to be with him at every stage of the process and deal with the hospitals directly herself to ensure the money we raise goes to the purpose intended.
Once we have the funds for the surgery we will be posting updates and pictures. Your kindness will help Yousuf see the world.
