HELP YOUNG WOMEN AND GIRLS MAKE MUSIC A CHOICE

Dear Friends and Music Lovers,

I am writing to make you aware of the much needed funds for music programs that benefit young women and girls. We strongly need money to counterbalance the pending cuts in the arts in schools.

My dear friend, Dr. Gail Jhonson has a giving spirit, and has made remarkable contributions in her role as a social change agent. I have organized this GoFundMe to make you aware of the urgent need for funding music programs.

Dr. Gail is dedicated to music education for all students. Support extends beyond vocal and musical skills to include managerial and technical aspects of the industry.

I have known Dr. Jhonson for over 15 years as a stellar pianist, music director, composer, educator, songwriter, and mentor. Her skills have impacted superstar artists and aspiring musicians around the globe.

What sets Dr. Jhonson apart is not only her celebrity status, but her commitment to giving back. The annual Charity Golf Challenge, is one the vehicles used to raise funds to support kids who cannot otherwise afford a top-notch music education. I am grateful to know someone as remarkable as Dr. Gail who has provided workshops, programs and countless hours of mentorship to underserved youth in and around her community for over 25 years. Some of her mentees have performed in Europe, on Jazz Cruises, the Hollywood Bowl, the Greek Theater, Music Festivals and jazz concerts throughout the US and abroad.
