Help Yoshi the Corgi Walk Again

Who, what, why
My name is Ed and I'm a 28 year old and I love and respect all life in the animal kingdom. I love my two Corgis Zelda (age 10) and Yoshi
Yoshi is a nine year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who suffered a ligament tear in his knee known as Cranial Cruciate Ligament on January 22nd 2018 when he got excited by another dog and ran towards it (the fastest Yoshi will ever move). He must have planted his back-right leg awkwardly in a small hole (the field is covered with small ditches for sprinkler heads) and that's apparently that's all it took to cause a serious injury.
Getting a loan isn't an option
Due to a $280,000 medical bill (the price of 3 months in the ICU in the USA) I declared bankruptcy and applying for credit options results in either being declined immediately or being declined after a number of days.

I was not in a great position even prior to this
I have been struggling with employment for 6 months and this month happens to be the first month that I cannot make rent and I actually still don't know what I'm going to do. The truth is I'd rather live on the street and get Yoshi the care he needs than to pay the rent this month. Even if I did: I still wouldn't have enough money. I had to borrow money from a friend just to take him in to get checked out.
Sense of Urgency & Alternative (non-surgical) Treatment
The longer a Cranial Cruciate Ligament Tear goes untreated the more likely more severe damage will occur.
Non-surgical treatments include buckets of pills (which are also expensive), and lifestyle changes like being locked in a cage so that he can't even attempt to walk around. I can't bear to watch him limp around and I'm so emotional that I can barely get this out. I never pictured myself creating a fundraiser, in fact I really don't care about money at all, but if I didn't write this then I didn't try hard enough and that would feel even worse.
Estimated Cost & Goal
The estimated cost of the surgery to correct Yoshi's injury is between $1500-$1800. The type of complications that can arise from not treating this have an astronomically higher price tag to fix.
I set my goal under the top-end of the estimate because I am assuming by the time (and IF) I reach my goal, I should hopefully have started my new job and been able to put aside money from my pocket as well to reach the finish line.
Full Transparency
If I can reach my goal I will provide the following information when it becomes available:
- Every piece of documentation from the vet
- Every single individual charge including the date, total amount and description of the service or medicine
- Pictures, and post-op videos of his recovery process
I seriously only want the bare minimum amount of money to treat this injury
- Every single penny raised over the goal amount will be sent to a charity for the benefit of animals (I have not chosen one yet).
- If we reach that point the chosen charity will be disclosed and some form of proof of funds transferred will be provided.
On behalf of myself, my mom (Yoshi is a big-time momma's boy) and my brother Mike: Thank you very much for reading and even considering to donate your hard-earned money to our cause. We want nothing but the best for our beloved dogs.
