My name is Georgette Billa, and I’m humbly reaching out for help during one of the most critical moments of my journey. As an international student at Howard University, I’ve worked tirelessly to maintain a 3.97 GPA while juggling my on campus part time job (20 hours due to visa restrictions) , volunteering, and serving my campus and community. Despite my best efforts including applying for scholarships, setting up payment plans, and seeking institutional aid, I am now facing a tuition balance of $29,212 urgently due by July 31st in order to register for classes this fall semester and graduate in December 2025 while remaining in legal immigration status. Without this payment, I risk losing everything I’ve worked so hard for including the chance to walk across the stage, receive my degree, and pursue a future rooted in serving others through healthcare. I’ve exhausted all avenues and am turning to my community, friends, and anyone who believes in the power of education and resilience. Any support, no matter the amount, brings me one step closer to my dream and helps ensure that my story doesn’t end here.
