<div>My Family’s Story from Gaza… We Are Holding Onto the Last Safe Place We Have

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Hello friends,

</div>

<div>My name is Yazan Fawra, I’m 18 years old, and I am the oldest member of my family of 8 people:

</div>

<div>My father Samah Fawra, my mother Mirvet Fawra, and my siblings Mohammed, Yamen, Yaser, Hussein, and my little sister Haya.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Since the beginning of the war, our entire life has changed.

</div>

<div>Our home—the place we were born in, grew up in, and built all our memories in—was completely destroyed.

</div>

<div>Everything we loved, every detail of our childhood, every piece of safety we once had… disappeared in one moment.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>️ From a destroyed home… to a cold tent

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>After losing our house, we spent a long time living in a tent.

</div>

<div>The days were hard, and the nights were even harder.

</div>

<div>My mother tried to comfort the younger children, my father tried to hide his pain, and I tried to look strong even though I was scared inside.

</div>

<div>But living in a tent is not a life… it is a daily struggle with cold, fear, and helplessness.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Now… we finally have a small apartment, but it is at risk

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>After months of suffering, we managed to find a small apartment to shelter in.

</div>

<div>A place that keeps us warm, protects us, and gives my younger siblings a little sense of stability.

</div>

<div>But the biggest problem is that the rent is €700 per month,

</div>

<div>and it is a cost we simply cannot afford after losing everything.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Every single day, we live with a real fear…

</div>

<div>The fear that the owner will knock on our door and ask us to leave.

</div>

<div>The fear that my siblings will go back to living in a tent.

</div>

<div>The fear of losing the last bit of safety we have.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Lost dreams… and a childhood put on pause

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>My siblings and I lost our education.

</div>

<div>I lost my future—my dreams, my plans, everything I worked for.

</div>

<div>But what breaks my heart the most is seeing the children lose their childhood.

</div>

<div>My little sister Haya, and my brothers Mohammed, Yamen, Yaser, and Hussein…

</div>

<div>They deserve a simple life.

</div>

<div>They deserve a roof over their heads.

</div>

<div>They deserve one day without fear.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are asking for help… any support could save our family

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are not asking for much…

</div>

<div>We are only asking to keep this apartment,

</div>

<div>to keep a safe place we can call home,

</div>

<div>to prevent my siblings from returning to a tent,

</div>

<div>to prevent my parents from being forced back into the streets after everything they’ve already survived.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Any donation—even €1—could help us pay the rent and truly change our lives.

</div>

<div>It could save an entire family from becoming homeless again.

</div>

<div>It could give the children one warm night… one peaceful moment.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>From my heart, and from the hearts of my entire family,

</div>

<div>thank you for reading our story, for supporting us, and for sharing our campaign.

</div>

<div>Your kindness may be the reason we hold onto the last piece of safety we have left.

</div>

<div>Thank you for giving us hope again. ️❤️
