Yaseen was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on August 17, 2022. 
 Yaseen is a bubbly and loving one year old with a heart of gold. His days were filled with drawing, giggling, and eating his favorite food, blueberries.  A month ago, his mom was changing his diaper and noticed a swollen lymph node. Yaseens mood and body changed, he was losing weight and wasn’t acting like his usual happy self. They checked into the ER thinking it was an infection, and got the news every parent would dread to hear. Your child has cancer. The past couple weeks have been flipped upside down for him with long hospital stays, bone marrow biopsies, endless blood tests, and this is only the beginning. The road ahead of him will consist of 9 months of rigorous weekly chemotherapy, and insha’Allah concluding with 2 years of at home treatment. Yaseen will start his first round of chemotherapy on August 24, 2022 at Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C.
