Help Xicana Artist get to Cleveland

I've created this campaign on behalf of my younger sister Diana Arreola who is a photographer. She has been developing her craft since 2008 and has since been published and featured in a number of art shows throughout the Bay Area. In recent years, her focuses have been on portraiture, event photography, and photo journalism. However, she always looks for opportunities to showcase projects that are more artistic and personal - and she has just been given such an opportunity.
In September, illustrator Derek Hess will be holding a showcase for artwork focusing on Mental Illness and Addiction. Diana has personally had to struggle navigating mental illness since childhood; Hess's work was actually something she deeply connected to upon discovering him in high school and this has since impacted her personally and artistically. She submitted two pieces expressing depression and anxiety, and she was selected as an artist!
This will be her 8th art show to feature her work, but this is the first outside the Bay Area. She was immediately unsure if she realistically could go because it's in Ohio, but this is too important and personal of a show for her to miss.
We're hoping to raise $950 for her to travel, with her partner and her best friend for support, to spend the weekend in Cleveland for the ACTING OUT! Show's opening reception at Derek Hess Gallery in mid-September 2017. Funds raised will be primarily to help them pay for round trip flight tickets for the 3 of them, but any remaining funds would be for lodging, food, and transportation once in Cleveland.
Diana is a incredibly talented artist with a unique and needed artistic eye. This would be an amazing opportunity for her to grow professionally, which she truly deserves. But what she's most excited about is for the chance to see how people with similar experiences with mental illness connect with her work - just as she connected with Hess's work all those years ago. I can't tell you how much I appreciate any of your support in ensuring she can do that.
