<div>At just 38 years old, Wylie should be planning his future with his wife, traveling across Australia and dreaming of starting a family. But instead he’s facing a heartbreaking reality no one his age should ever have to endure.

<div>In August 2024, Wylie’s life was turned upside down. After many missed diagnoses, he received devastating news: a diagnosis of rare and aggressive appendix cancer. By the time it was discovered, the cancer had already spread throughout his body.

<div>In November, he endured a grueling 19-hour HIPEC surgery in Sydney. Since then, he has been fighting through intense rounds of chemotherapy, facing each day with strength, despite the painful side effects.

<div>Wylie and his devoted wife made the heartbreaking decision to leave their home, jobs, family and friends, relocating interstate to be closer to the only specialist cancer centre that offers the care he urgently needs. For six months, they’ve lived far from everything familiar—all to give Wylie a fighting chance.

<div>But this journey has come at a high cost—emotionally, physically, and financially.

<div>With both Wylie and his wife unable to work, the costs of flights, temporary accommodation, medications, ongoing treatment, and countless specialist appointments are becoming overwhelming. The stress of mounting bills threatens to overshadow the one thing that matters most: Wylie’s recovery.
