<div>We are Greg and Christy Spann.  We created Wyatt’s Rides, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, to help other families financially that have children battling childhood cancer.  Our goal is to help others by paying a couple months of their house or car payments, buying gas for trips to and from the hospital, or even providing a gift card to a place close to the hospital for a decent meal.

<div>Wyatt was born November 20,2015.  We were both in our early 40’s and didn’t think we could have children.  Wyatt was both a surprise and a blessing from GOD.  On December 2, 2018, we took Wyatt to Children’s Hospital of Alabama because we thought he had a stomach virus that he couldn’t shake.  We discovered later that evening that he had a mass the size of a golf ball on his brain stem.  Wyatt had Medulloblastoma brain cancer, a very aggressive brain cancer.  Two days later he had a 6 hour brain surgery.  We fought for 14 months to save our son.  But on January 16, 2020, Wyatt passed away at home in our arms.  During that 14 month period we couldn’t work because Wyatt was so sick.  If it hadn’t been for the generosity of other people and nonprofit organizations, we would have lost everything, including our home.  We now feel the strong desire to “pay it forward”.  Unless you have been where we have, it’s hard to understand the devastation that you fell as a parent.  Any help that anyone can give will be greatly appreciated and used to help families in similar situations.  All Donations Are Tax Deductible.
