Help Women in Need Have a Special Valentine's Day

Hi, my name is Mica, and I am in seventh grade. I have spent the past couple months working with Human Solutions  to create a Bat Mitzvah service project. After lots of ideas I have chosen to create a special Valentine's Day celebration at their women's homeless shelter. I have surveyed all of the residents at the women's shelter and asked them what self-care items and food they want. I will be raising money to buy the residents' requested self-care items and organizing a potluck of their favorite foods. This Go Fund Me is just for the self-care portion of the celebration!

A big part of Bat Mitzvah service projects is calling on your community to help others in need, so that is why I am asking you to please donate money for self-care items.  These items include makeup, body wash, face wash, conditioner, face masks, lotion, and lip balm. These are the kinds of things that make woman feel strong, happy, powerful, and most of all human.  There are 30 women at this shelter and with your help I am hoping to make bags full of goodies to make Valentines Day special.
