Help with Xander medical bills
Xander Shea Foley was born Monday June 19th to Devin Smart and John Foley.
On Saturday 6/24 his parents noticed that something wasn't right. They brought Xander to the Hibbing hospital to be checked out. Xander was immediatly flown to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, where they determined Xander had respiratory failure and with the help of an exploratory laparotomy they found a gastric perforation and jejunal volvolus. They performed a LADD procedure with appendectomy as well as repair of the gastric perforation. He was septic and had acute kidney failure due to the infection and his body started to shut down. The anticipated recovery time associated with something like this is 3-4 weeks, if everything goes well.
Xander pulled through surgery wonderfully and is on the long road to recovery. His parents, family and friends have been there everyday and will continue to do so. Xander is expected to be home sometime in July.
Due to unforeseen medical expenses, and with Devin and John not working so they can stay with Xander during this difficult time, they could use some financial help.
Any donation is very much appreciated and will help immensely.
Donations will also be accepted at Hibbing Park Hotel and Suites & Grandma's In The Park.
