Help with Vets Bill to save my Jax

Hi, my name is Wendy. I’m the owner of “Jax” my exempted Pitbull Type, seized in 2016 just for the way he looks. Jax has suffered a few times with health problems in the past. He spent 10 days and nights in the vets hospital in 2021, very poorly with pancreatitis and enflamed liver.

As he’s exempted, I have never been able to get pet health insurance for him. Even now, with the XL Bully ban, Napo and Agria will insure XL’s but still not the other banned breeds.

Jax is in the vets hospital now, very very poorly. He is on IVs for fluids and antibiotics. His inflammatory cells are low, he’s fighting a serious infection. His pancreatitis has also flared up. He has high sodium and chloride levels, salt poisoning, the vet says from vomiting. His liver enzymes are high. He has a high temperature as well.

I had an estimate today, that’s £443.69, this has already gone up to £800 tonight, and will go up further.

I worked all my life, but had to give up due to bad health a few years ago. Only 2 weeks ago I was sent to A&E by my doctors, spinal problems which I’m being referred to spinal surgeons at orthopaedic Oswestry.

Ive helped owners of seized dogs since Jax was seized in 2016.
