<div>On Monday, April 8th 2024, Riley (17 years old) was CHASED down by a Kent County Sheriff Officer who was behind the wheel of police cruiser. Riley was a passenger in a car that was attempted to be stopped by the police. Riley exited the car and was on FOOT running away, unarmed, posing no direct threat to these officers. The officer made the decision to continue chasing him with his cruiser, while Riley remained on foot. The officer ran Riley over causing life threatening injuries. This has left Riley fighting for his life. While we understand that some people may have opinions of their own, we ask that you remember that this has left his mother, brother, sister and many of his family and friends devastated. I ask that no matter your opinion you continue to pray for and support Riley and his family. Everybody makes mistakes, some bigger than others, but no mistake that was made here justifies what has happened.

<div>Almost 2 weeks ago Riley was ran over and sustained life threatening injuries. He has been in the hospital fighting for his life since. His family has sat by his side since day 1. I am hoping and praying that we can come together as a community to help lift any financial burden that his family is facing. His family has always been the ones to step up and help others, and now it's time for us to help them. While you may know detailed information, we ask that you continue to respect Riley and his family's privacy. We will update you all as we can. Right now I want to focus on the needs at hand. There is no time for any of them to focus on work, and Riley will have a long journey of medical bills to come as he begins to make a recovery. This will allow his family to focus solely on him and his recovery. Please help if you can. God bless you all.
