Help with Richard's cancer battle

It’s with a heavy heart and great sadness that I inform everyone that Richard's fight ended today, February 7th. As we would expect, Richard fought fiercely, but last weekend he took a turn for the worse and the cancer and pain began to overwhelm him. Mercifully, Richard's painful fight wasn’t prolonged and he’s now in a better place. I will post an update regarding services as details emerge. Dan
Support Richard’s Fiercest Ride
Many of you in the cycling community and our Free-Flite family know Richard Blumenthal as a road rider, an old school mountain bike racer and master mechanic at the Canton Rd store. Richard raced predominantly in the 90s and was known as a fierce competitor who dominated his age group at local and regional levels. He’s also known for his service mentality of ensuring that a customer was getting the best quality and most dependable support.
In 2012 Richard was diagnosed with brain cancer. Drawing upon his fierce competitiveness, he was able to aggressively attack the cancer and beat it with brain surgery, chemotherapy and rehab. Despite almost 5 years of clean health, Richard has recently received the devastating news that the cancer has returned with a vengeance.
As many of us know, cancer can strike anyone, anytime and the financial and emotional effect on both the patient and his or her family can be crippling for years. Drawing upon his competitive strength, Richard is determined to conquer this new challenge and the Free-Flite family is asking for your help in being Richard’s “support vehicle” for his latest challenging ride.
