This kind, smart young man thought he had a sinus infection that turned into brain surgery, months of hospital stays, a stroke, IV antibiotics, and more. It turns out that Evan had bacterial meningitis and the infection went into his brain. He still has a lot of recovery left - he can't attend school full-time, gets migraines, can't handle a lot of noise or light, has majour vision loss, and often has to work through high levels of pain.
