Update: Today at 9:54 am my beautiful, amazing, caring wife Andrea Marie Murphy passed away. Andrea was very private about her life and most people didn’t know she had been battling a very aggressive brain tumor called stage 3 anaplastic astrocytoma and it metastasized into a grade 4 glioma. She had gone through 2 awake brain surgeries and 1 regular surgery, radiation, chemo, went full vegan and tried high doses of thc and just about everything anti-cancerous possible.
We were going on 9 years of marriage and enjoyed every second of it! Prior to our marriage she had an amazing son Paul David Carrion (PJ) who is 11 and we had our beautiful, mini Andrea, Hailey Marie Murphy who is 7. Before the brain tumor we had a pretty amazing life with ups and downs and a more love than we knew what to do with.
After about 11 years of waitressing, I finally pushed Andrea to follow her dream of becoming a nurse. 1 year before we knew she had cancer, she graduated from TMCC as a certified MA and worked with 8 local doctors offices as a Per-diem and that was the happiest I had ever seen her! She shined brighter than the sun! 1 month before we found out she had cancer she applied to Carrington College and was going to pursue becoming a nurse, her dream job.
After the cancer hit we spent as much time as a family as we could and loving on our kids as much as possible. We camped a lot and spent a lot of time at the beach (her favorite). Andrea didn’t have many friends but the friends she had were close!
There are no words to describe how hard it is to lose such an amazing person and at only 34 years old she was way too young. I also want to say thank you to all of our friends and family and new friends that opened their arms to us! Please keep PJ, Hailey and I in your prayers. Over the last year Andrea and I found a bigger love for God and Jesus. If I can ask anything from you on her behalf, even if you don’t believe, please take 15 seconds and pray for us. I love you all and God bless you and your family.

Original post: a year ago my best friend Andrea Murphy was diagnosed with a stage 3 anaplastic astrocytoma, she had two brain surgeries to remove the tumor, after her second surgery we thought she was on the road to recovery. About 2 months later she had a new tumor, this time it's a stage 4 glioma. In the last month Andrea had lost a lot of her memory , she sleeps 90% of the day and is very emotionless. A few days ago Andrea had another surgery to help with the fluid and drainage in her brain (it's more extreme than what I can put into words). Her husband has taken so much time off of work to care for her and get her to all of her surgeries, appointments, chemo etc... Andrea is now in need of 24hour care and possibly more surgeries and treatment.
Before all of this they had a wonderful life with a home and 2 children. Now they are struggling to keep everything they have worked so hard for due to medical expenses.
Bryan works really hard to provide for his family but with 24hour care, surgeries and a lot more treatments still to come Bryan could really use some financial help.
Myself and Bryan's two sisters Lynda and Chrystalle have waited to start a Gofund me page until we knew it was absolutely necessary and that time has come.
They have a long road ahead of them so if anyone can help in any way whether it be $5 or a prayer it would be amazing.
We all really appreciate you taking the time to read about Andrea's struggle.
Please pass this link along to anyone and everyone you think can help.
THANK YOU!
