Help with Lazahrya's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Lazahrya Wright is an incredibly bright and kind young lady. She is full of life and loves doing things that many teenage girls love to do including dancing and swimming.
The start of Lazahrya’s sophomore year of high school started out on a positive, yet unique note with distance learning and COVID-19. However, Lazahrya’s world turned upside-down just a few weeks into the school year. The examination of a mass on Lazahrya’s leg led to a diagnosis of a form of rare cancer.
With her diagnosis, Lazahrya immediately began chemotherapy treatments. On October 4th, Lazahrya was rushed to the emergency room with complications and was placed on a ventilator for two weeks. After the first 11 days on a ventilator, Lazahrya’s doctors and family were faced with the difficult decision to amputate her leg in an effort to stop the cancer from spreading.
Lazahrya’s medical expenses with her chemotherapy, recent hospitalization, and amputation surgery have created an overwhelming financial strain on the Wright family.
Lazahrya is also just beginning the long road of recovery. She will continue to have treatments and physical therapy as a part of that recovery. Lazahrya also hopes to have a prosthetic leg will one day allow her to dance and swim again.
Any donation you can make will help the Wright family with Lazahrya’s current and future medical expenses.
