Help with Funeral Expenses & Send Him Back to DR

On the evening of Thursday, October 21st, Luis Armando Coats (BigPapi) went to be with the lord. For those of us who know him, it has been a complete shock because even though he had been battling with diabetes he had taken steps to better his health.

 

"Big Papi" as many used to call him was my brother. He was a 36 year old gentle giant with a heart of gold that left his native country to find a better life and help his family back in the Dominican Republic. He was an excellent baseball coach, a great mentor and one of the most responsible human beings I've ever met.

 

We are all devastated with his passing and unprepared for the high cost of funeral expenses.  Additionally, his nephew Keanu Tejada and I will need to be able to send his body back to Dominican Republic so the rest of the family can say good bye and bury him as they are living in poverty. If we can raise enough, we will use all additional money to give to his elderly parents who very much depended on Big Papi for financial support.
