Help with Frank's medical bills

Selfless love. Caring. Compassion. My husband Frank has amply shared these qualities throughout his life and career — and now he needs them from you. He is receiving critical care in a Canadian hospital for serious issues, from liver disease and a tumour in his colon to diabetes and repeat infections.
Unfortunately, he has no Canadian medical insurance, caught in limbo between having given up his US residency and not yet completing all the requirements for permanent residency in Canada. Therefore, he is being billed as a US visitor, which means we’re paying $3,600 a day just for a hospital bed. That’s a base rate of $25,200 a week, plus specialists’ fees and numerous daily costs such as $1,600 for a CT scan, etc.
Frank has a 50/50 chance of surviving for a year, according to the doctor. He will need ongoing acute care and more. While still working, I, his wife Heather Conn, want to focus on caregiving and trying to fast-track his application for permanent residency status to help reduce costs, if possible. It’s challenging enough to deal with Frank’s health issues; neither of us needs the added stress of mounting hospital bills. We don’t want to lose the house or our life savings.

In full transparency, I have created a subaccount to my credit union account and will be withdrawing funds and writing cheques on Frank's behalf to cover his medical expenses.
