Hi, my name is Cameron and my partner is Dean. We got Lara as a puppy at 10 weeks old and she has been our pride and joy since, always with a warm greeting,,, and a tongue licking... she is a huge part of our lives. She was born on September 10th, 2022.

Over the last week she seemed less energetic and then she stopped eating and drinking.

We took her to an emergency vet at 4am but they couldn't say what was wrong without some expensive tests so we opted to take her to our local vet.

She is still at the vet now as I write this, having emergency surgery for an internal infection resulting from a hole in her stomach. Given that she spends most of her time inside, we can't understand how she got the hole. We will update this page as we know more.

The costs have now exceeded $3000 and we have no way to pay them having already used most of our rent

Any help you, family or friends can provide is greatly appreciated more than you will ever know.

***It's now 7:15pm and we just got off the phone from the vet. She has been able to repair most of the damage and it will be touch and go for the next 12 hours... A big thank you to the staff at Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital for working overtime to save Lara
