Help w/ Elbie's Emergency Vet Bills

Donation protected
On Saturday, May 5th, Elbie was taken from his family by by two men driving a white pickup truck, pulling a blue dumpster.  Four days later, he was turned into the Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society, having been used as a 'bait dog' to train fighting dogs. Miraculously, he is still alive. Elbie has been through one surgery, and will likely need one or two more surgeries before he can go home.

Obviously, his emergency medical care will be costly. We would like to help Amy and Antonio cover these medical bills...but we'd also like to raise money for the Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society, who did such an amazing job helping Amy locate and care for Elbie.

Any money above and beyond Elbie's medical needs will be contributed to the guardian angels working at the Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society so they can continue to do the selfless work they do everyday on behalf of the abused, neglected, forgotten, and unfortunate animals in the area.

Additional note:  the heartless individuals who stole Elbie could never have known who they accidentally tangled with. Amy and Antonio are much loved members of a deep and extended family of friends who exist well beyond the borders of Detroit. This family will not rest until we see Elbie cared for, and the perpetrators of this horrific, barbaric crime identified and prosecuted. There is a full mobilization underway to make sure that these individuals are held accountable. Likewise, we will be working to help eliminate this potential reality for other dogs in Detroit.
