Angelina Lai Yen Boey, age 33, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on December 9, 2021. We are unspeakably saddened by her death and the senselessness of how she was taken from us. She leaves behind her parents Hor Chong Boey and Chai Sia Ko, her twin sisters Angeline and Angela Boey, and nephew James Boey. We are told by police she was the victim of domestic violence murder-suicide – killed by her intimate partner who then took his own life. Though her life was taken in a tragic instant, we want to remember the beautiful moments she shared with her family and friends, leaving a legacy of warmth and everlasting love. Angelina was kind, generous, and loyal to the very end.
We know that the circumstances surrounding her death are shocking, causing others similar distress and anguish. We believe Angelina would have wanted her death to help others, and to spread awareness of issues that are unseen but all too prevalent.
